I have to say I have the best girlfriends. I wouldn't have made it this past year without them. They are always willing to help in anyway they can. I am super sad that since my post office job ended, I miss my friend Allison. She was my lifesaver at work. We wouldn't have made it so long there without eachother. We loved taking our breaks together, sitting by eachother, working the holidays together, and enjoying late night talks. Good thing for texting which helps.
My other girlfriends who live right by me are super close to my heart. We take turns hosting lunch bunch once a month at our homes: talking, eating, letting the kids play....its the best get-away. We all talk, visit, text, call, watch eachother's kids, or hang out whenever someone needs anything. Just in September, we were all able to take a weekend get-away to spend together in SLC.

BACK TO THE HOTEL:
More girl talk, taking TONS of photos, relaxing, running up and down the halls, giving eachother manis and pedis, and me and Kathleen couldn't sleep so we stayed up all night till the pool opened at 6am. Then we went swimming and got stalked by a creepy weirdo! We ate our free breakfast in the lobby and got about an hour sleep before we got ready to head out again.

GOING TO DEAR LIZZY:
Liz had been wanting to go to this place FOREVER! We drove down and walked in and sure enough she was in heaven. We did some browsing, had a quick lunch, and headed to the Gateway.
AT THE GATEWAY:
We walked, browsed, and shopped for like 6 hours! Then we stopped for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen for about an hour and then went back shopping for 2 more hours! Looooong day!
BACK TO THE HOTEL:
We unpacked all our stuff, got in our pj's, did a Halloween craft (thanks Kathleen for the idea...though her and Melissa did most of mine cause I couldn't figure it out), more girl talk, and finally bed!

It was a great weekend that we all really needed to get rejuvenated. I am so happy to have great friends by my side. Love ya girls!
Your trip looked like so much fun. We should do this with the sisters. I can only imagine what that would turn into! What hotel did you stay at?
ReplyDeleteYES I'd love to do this with our sisters. I cannot wait to do it again. We stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriot in SLC. Its a brand new hotel and it was super nice. It was the funnest weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little jealous of your girlfriends. How fun! I have girlfriends here but we love being with our families too much to ever get out for a weekend like that. I'm hoping when we move I can get some more girlfriends like you have. And you look fabulous in your pics.
