THIRTY: I'M THANKFUL FOR: My Savior. As the month winds down, I reflect back on what a great month it was and how I was able to share my blessings with you. For the last day, I have to say how grateful I am for the Savior. Without Him in my life, I would never be where I am today-With a wonderful hubby, and 3 terrific kids (and a couple I hope to raise later in life!) I had some hard trials I had to overcome with the help of my Savior...and more I constantly go thru even now. I am so thankful for the life He gave up me, the love He freely gives all the time, knowing I can pray to Him about anything at all, the way He answers my prayers, the agency He lets us have, and knowing He is supportive of me. I owe everything to Him, and yet I feel I can never re-pay Him. I feel super blessed I get to teach others (especially my little primary class) about Him and getting to see their excited faces. We are super fortunate to have a Savior who loves and cares for us so much and wants us to have the best life possible...with His help!!!

Sorry this is a little late...I had it in the editing folder!

TWENTY-NINE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: My parents. I can't say that growing up I felt that way, but being older and looking back my parents did a great job! They raised us in the gospel which first and foremost I am most thankful. They made sure we had everything we needed and wanted....home, clothes, food, toys, etc. I am so thankful for each of my parents strong qualities. They have taught me some great life lessons. My dad showed me how important it is to be dependable, how to be organized, how to keep files accurate, how to be money-saavy, how to be a grown up, and most important how to be independant and survive. My mom taught me how to cook, how to play piano (I was even lucky enough to have professional lessons for a year), how to be modest, how to raise children, how to show kindness towards others, how to love, and most important how to be as selfless as she is.
They truly love me and my family. I know I can go to them for ANYTHING and they would be more than willing to help out. I am so lucky to have my parents, who even through the toughest of times, can lean on eachother, stay together, and be the best parents to us kids!

26, 27, 28

TWENTY-SIX: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Spanx. This may sound weird, but after eating alot on Turkey day, and any other day, I love being able to wear them and look 20 pounds lighter. They hold everything in, and make my clothes look smooth without the big baby belly getting in the way! Great investment I must say!

TWENTY-SEVEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: My friends. I have some great friends. They are willing to listen to me whine or vent anytime. They offer great advice. They love going out with me late at night for chips and salsa. They love chatting with me late at night especially when I am having trouble falling asleep. They bring me goodies when I am down. They help me run my errands. They love my kiddies and are willing to watch them anytime. They love to stay up all night "watching" movies!!! I am just lucky to have some great girls who love me.

TWENTY-EIGHT: I'M THANKFUL FOR: My sisters. Like my friends, I have some wonderful sisters. I don't get to see them as much as I would like, and 2 moved too far away; But I have some of the best sisters in the world. They always have an encouraging word to say, and they love to talk, hang out, and play games. We can tell eachother anything. They are supportive no matter what. They love to hear and keep up with my family news. When I feel totally alone, I know they are always there for me. We have very fun memories with eachother. Our kids love to play with one another. Having sisters is totally fun and I consider myself lucky to have 8 of them!

24, 25 (Happy Thanksgiving)

TWENTY-FOUR: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Utilites. Even though we have to pay for them, I feel incredibly thankful for having these amenties in our home. Whether its electricity for lights, night lights, Holiday lights, tv, computers, microwave, stove, fridge, vacuum, dryer, blow dryer, curling iron, chargers, edger, sump pump, garage door opener or radios; heat/water heater for warm baths and showers, hot water for making food or bottles, heat during these cooold days (12 degrees today), dishwasher, washing machine, or fireplace; water which I went into great detail earlier in the month; phone/internet for talking to family, using the internet, skype, or to use in an emergency; cell phones so we can be reached any time any where; cable to watch tv-history channel and sports for Justin, cartoons and learning shows for the kids, and my silly shows to help me escape my own reality for a little while.

TWENTY-FIVE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Thanksgiving. This holiday gets overlooked and bypassed all the time. I love this holiday because it helps us to remember and give thanks for all the wonderful things we have in our life which we are sharing this month with eachother. I love the colors, smells, and decor of this holiday. I love how much the kids want to celebrate; everytime they hear the word "Thanksgiving" they squeal with excitement (celebrating holidays with kids is so much fun) We are looking forward to all that yummy food. The kids can't wait to eat that turkey! So HAPPY THANKSGIVING all and I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday.

Gobble till you Wobble. (Man I already wobble...crap!!!)

EIGHTEEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Blogger/Blogging. Lately I have been thinking how I haven't written in my journal for a couple years and I started feeling very overwhelmed with needing to catch up. The more I thought about it, I realized that I do journal. I type everything on Blogger including pictures. Not only have I been keeping up, but I am able to let my fam and friends keep up with me. Now I just need to print all the pages, and put them in my journal.

NINETEEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: My senses. I am incredibly lucky to be able to see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. I've come across a few people that don't always have the luxury of all 5, so I am grateful I do.

TWENTY: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Shoes. Knowing how many people in different countries and even here in America can go barefoot thru cold or rainy weather, sometimes snow, trying to find food across mountains and rough terrain, or just walking across dirty floors; I feel lucky to be able to afford shoes for me and everyone in my family. Especially when we have so many stores and finding the right deal comes so much easier to us.

TWENTY-ONE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Food. We had a talk in church about how many people in the world go without food and can go their whole life without one square meal and even die of starvation. How lucky it is that food is so abundant here...whether it be shopping at the grocery store, having back up storage, hunting, bishop's storehouse, family or neighbors who help us out, or the food banks; we have so much available and as many of you who see me...I love my food!

TWENTY-TWO: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Garages. Being by myself and having come home from church on Sunday in the blizzard and trying to pack 3 kids in and out of the car with my quiet bag, diaper bag, and teaching bag, I was so grateful to be able to pull in and shut the door behind me and unpack everyone and everything without having to deal with the elements. The same goes during a downpour and trying to unload all the groceries, having a place to play games, or just keeping our cars safe I feel so thankful for having a garage.

TWENTY-THREE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Teachers and Schools. I have always hoped for good education for my kids since I was taught so well. Seeing my kids grow up and learn so much from their teachers who are more than willing to teach at a school so close to home, makes me so happy. Rhett has learned so much these past 3 months and it goes to the help of his teacher. He has learned to read books by himself and even write letters (which he loves to do) He even just wrote a letter to Jesus and Heavenly Father and I could totally understand what he wrote all by himself. Ry has even learned in her preschool which I was leery she would. She knows her ABC's, days of the week, pledge of allegiance, and how to spell her name. And as I am a teacher to the CTR 6 class at church, I feel so lucky to be able to teach these young kiddies about the gospel. I just taught them a lesson on the 2nd coming and it was amazing how much I could feel the spirit through a lesson meant for 6 and 7 yr olds. How lucky we are to have schools and churches so accessible to us for the teaching and learning of our youth.

SIXTEEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Cars and Mechanics. I have to say that I am so grateful for my car and that it is my trusty mate getting me to work on time and home safely at night, to dr. appointments, and on my many errands. And when I am having trouble (ie...this week) I have someone I can trust (Mark Ohlin-Roy66) who can help me fix and tune up my car back to purring happily!

SEVENTEEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Cameras. Man how lucky we are to have a little device called a camera (digital, film, cell phone) I love that we are able to capture time with it, remember fun times like vacays, and photographing our children at certain ages. Having just got our family pics done **with a huge thanks to Megan for doing such a great job** I love we are able to have this keepsake!

ELEVEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Well I told my sister I would have to copy her eventually, so I am thankful for water. So many uses for it....to drink-which is normally all I do drink, in my washing machine, dishwasher, to make a bottle for a baby, to make food, in my shower, to water my lawn, as rain, and as my kids fave-snow! I know there are many uses for water, and I am lucky to use them all!

TWELVE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: I copied this from my friends...I love my bed. Going through out the day whether it was busy or not, being sick, being at work all day, staying up late to watch tv....I love the moment when I can crawl in between the sheets of my soft and fluffy bed and relax and find sleep. Or when its super cold and you want to cuddle to get warm, reading to our kids, when the kids get scared and want to share our bed...I love my bed!

THIRTEEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Temples. Back when I was younger I would watch tv and see people on these shows find peace when they visit their church and light a candle and pray. I used to wonder why we don't have that in our religion...till I grew up and realized we did. Being able to go through the temple and find my own solace when I am in despair, out of answers, need a pick me up, when I am happy, or even when I can go with my hubby and look at him across the room; I feel truly lucky to have so many available within an hour of my home.

FORTEEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Carpet. I love that something as unimportant as carpet can be so great. We finally finished our basement and being able to lay that soft and lush stuff down over the hard concrete, it truly makes our house feel more like a home. I feel lucky to be able to get carpet and enjoy it.

FIFTEEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Airplanes. I am so thankful we have these wonderful machines which help us get to our family and destinations quicker. Here in about 30 days, my sister, bro-in-law and niece will be here in one day from Maine. In about 4 months my bro, sis-in-law, nephew and nieces will be here in one day from New Hampshire. When we want to travel the world, we can at a much faster pace. We are truly lucky to have airplanes!

Table-1, Ry-0

So we all knew it would happen....she finally got the marks to prove it. Anyone who knows Ry knows what a "graceful" one she is! We have decided to finish our basement and finally put carpet down, so we have EVERYTHING from downstairs moved upstairs. So when she fell off the couch and into the corner of the table....the table won! And the very next day she slammed the flashlight into her other eye. Not that it shows as well, but our poor little one has her first black eye and her 2nd....In 2 days. I am so glad we did our pics last weekend because I think Kenna may be following in her sis's footsteps. She fell into the toy table and has a little black eye too! It just hasn't been their week :)

Love Kyle hanging out in the background

So camera happy when she knows I'm taking her pic (she started posing)

All the little kids "getting ready for bed" in the bathroom. Right after Ry said "Dad, you need to shave your face. You have lots and too much hair!"

EIGHT: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Hospitals. Reflecting back on when I delivered my kids, namely 7 yrs ago for Rhett, I am thankful we live where hospitals are so prominant, clean, sanitary, and safe. When Rhett was born he had to be in the NICU for a week, and I am glad he was in the hospital getting strong enough to come home. As well as everytime I needed to be in the hospital, we are lucky to have it accessible to us.

NINE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Washing machines. Having traveled to places where we saw people having to fetch water for their basin, scrub their clothes with grates, rinse them out, and hang to dry...I feel so lucky to have that right in my home. I can do a load so quickly and it does all the work for me. I love how much time it saves me and how fast I can get all our laundry done.

TEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Freedom. I love as of now we are able to preach, learn, dress, act (sometimes not such a good thing for others) go to church, drive a car, go to school, stay home, work a job, go shopping, own and fire a gun, play in the yard, go to a movie, vote, be married to the one we choose, loving someone of our choice, have a family, hang out with friends, talk on the the phone, be on the internet....the list could go on and on. These are freedoms a lot of people don't have the privelage of having. I consider myself lucky.

4,5,6,7

It's been kinda hard to get on everyday, so here's my bounty for the last few days....

FOUR: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Me and Justin's job. We have so much to take care of, I feel so priviledged to be able to work. As many people who hate to work, I am one of the few who love it. Being able to help provide for my family and make sure we have everyting we need (clothes, shoes, food, etc) is a huge blessing. Our jobs treat us very well and help us to give our kids what they need.

FIVE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Our home! As the weather continues to get colder and wetter, I feel very blessed to be able to run inside to the warmth and roof over my head. Being able to have fun family times and parties, playing with our children, tuck my kids in bed, family dinner....its all such a luxury that being in a home allows!

SIX: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Technology. Having high-speed internet, a computer, and programs like skype...we are able to talk face to face to my sister, bro-in-law, and niece in Maine, my bro, sis-in-law, nephew, and nieces in New Hampshire (once to my bro while he was in India) and my father-in-law in Guatemala....how lucky we are! How cool it is to see how much its grown in the last 20 years.

SEVEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Music. Whether I am able to steal a few minutes away to play the piano, listen to Justin play the guitar, hymns being sung, music about our Savior, or just hearing a song I love on the radio/Ipod, music is such a a soothing element in my life.

I could go on and on....

Count Your Many Blessings!

So I am following in my little sisters footsteps and using eachday to mention a blessing until the end of November. And I too am 3 days behind so here goes....

ONE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: I have to start off too with my wonderful hubby. He is the most patient man I know. He puts up with ALOT! And yet he still loves me thru it. He holds the priesthood in our home and uses it when needed. He is a great example of what Christ wants us to be doing. He's always reading his scriptures and study guides..which he teaches me and the kids. He holds home evening with the kids even when I have to work (the last one they did was a treasure hunt to find ten clues which ended up being the ten commandments. The kids loved it) And he has unconditional love. He tells me every day "You're beautiful today!" Even when I tell him not to he replies "But I don't want you to forget!" I am truly blessed with a sweet and caring man who loves me and his family above all else.

TWO: I'M THANKFUL FOR: In light of recent events, I have to say I am truly grateful for doctors and prescriptions. This last weekend was miserable and I was in so much pain. I was so blessed to get into a dr. an hour after I called, and get meds an hour after that at the pharmacy. Within 8 hours, I was feeling so much better. Which is essential to a mom with 3 kids. You have to be up to your best to take care of the little ones.

THREE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: I am thankful and blessed for my smart little kids, and the teachers who teach them. Kenna is beginning to say more and more words she learns from her siblings. And she knows what they mean. It's cute to see them teach her. Ry is doing better in school. She is learning her alphabet sounds and phonics. And knowing what they mean too. She feels so special she knows them. And Rhett just brought home his school test for 1st quater. He scored perfect in all 20 categories...smart kid! Top of his class again. I am so proud of him and how hard he works to achieve it. He constantly wants to read books...which he can now! And do homework. And when he learns something, he passes it on to his sisters.

So there are my 3 blessings so far for November. We are truly blessed in this life, even when so much bad is whirling around us. Its good to see how much we have to love in life, so thank you Mandee for the great idea!

Trick or Treating....

On Saturday, the 30th, we did our Trick or Treating. I woke up with a sore throat but didn't think much of it. Till about 430, when I wanted to throw up all my soup. I was supposed to go to Mom's for trunk or treating but the girls were sleeping. So Kathleen came over to help me take my kids out, with her daughter Shannon, and then I was going to go to Dawns for dinner and hang out. We started ok, but after about 30min I was not so well. I had the worst flu symtoms. So of course I wasn't able to go to Dawns. J actually had to carry me into the bath and then into bed (his poor back) He took care of me all weekend. I was in so much pain for 2 days. I called the dr. on Monday and got in an hour after I called. He looked and said "yep, you got tonsillitis, which is what the flu can feel like." And my throat culture came back positive for strep. Thank goodness for medicine, cause he said I will call this in and you'll feel better by tonight. I sure did. The swelling went down by 50%. I could actually swallow again. So all in all, we couldn't do much, but what we did, I know the kids enjoyed it!

A few photos before we headed out. Thanks to Kathleen for coming to help me with my kiddies since I had hardly any energy to do it on my own. And she took all the pics too.

Little ladybug Shannon fell over....the girls just watched

Shannon and Kenna...I think Shannon really wanted her binky, but Kenna was not letting go for anything (except her bottle)

Thank you Ry for "holding" the babies heads up, haha!

Ry thought she was the cutest sheep (we told her it was a poodle, but she insisted she was a sheep, so thats what she was)

Trick or Treating...it started to rain right when we started. Then stopped for a few min. Then started again.

My ensemable...a witch from outer space (moon boots and all)

Shannon and Kenna were stroller buddies...the weather was not the best.

Sorry for my fake...."Yes I am having fun and I'm in no pain!"

Kenna was asking Shannon "Dude, wake up! You're missing all the fun!"

On Sunday, Halloween, I couldn't get out of bed. Except to change Kennas diaper which took me 20 min. It was all I could do to pray for J to get off early (which he did) When he got home, they decided to carve some pumpkins. And display them. We thought we may get some more trick or treaters, which we didn't! So extra candy.... which we gave to the food drive the next day.

Time for some Pumpkin Carving...better late than never! I barely was able to get up to take photos so none of me in there. I was on the couch mostly watching and crying cause I was in pain. I love that the kids kept asking what they could do to help....and Justin did everything. I was truly taken care of.

Can you guess the designers???
Kenna wanted to be in the photo too since she didn't "design" one herself :)

Whoo, This Is a Doozy Of Our Halloween Activites!

(I have been so behind. So here is a massive blog spot of the things we have been up to the last couple of weeks. Sorry its long-but enjoy)

We had our annual Halloween bday party at our house on the 29th. We had started our night off with a skype session with Deloy in Guatemala. Then when everyone got here (even Shelly came with her girls Lexy and Ashlynn) we enjoyed our traditional soft shelled tacos, corn, 7-layer dip, chips and salsa, pies, and J's must have-homemade witches brew which the kids totally loved the smoking (thanks J and Kyle for making it a success) There was so much left over that J took it to his Halloween buffet at work the next day and his co-workers enjoyed it all gone!
We also had an array of dressed up characters, scary music, ambient lighting, rowdy kids, strewn toys, lots of fun, loud laughter, and the fave of the night....the ever CHAOTIC 3-way skype session (everyone here in Utah, my sis, her hubby, and daughter with my sis-in-law and her kids in Maine, and my bro in India) We are so lucky to have this kind of technology. It was so great to see my fam so far away because it's been so long since I've seen them face to face. It was a great talk, but it made me miss them even more. We can't wait to get out there and visit. We love and miss them dearly.
Overall, the night was fun and the kids got some really great gifts. Thanks to everyone for the cutest clothes (you must have known we really needed them now and later in the spring) and the fun toys. Yall are so generous to treat our kids. When the night had to end all the kids were treated with fun party favor bags...which I love to do. It makes it feel like a party! It's been a whirlwind of events this month. Now comes trick or treating which I will post next.

On the 28th, I was able to accompany Ry with her class to their fieldtrip...Black Island Farms. We had a lot of fun. Naomi just happened to stop by to carpool-what a saint. She is always so helpful. We were able to take a trailer ride to the pumpkin patch where we learned about how carrots, onions, and corn grow and then we all picked out a pumpkin. Then we were able to play in their HUGE play area...train rides, slides, petting zoo, mazes, corn kernal pit, pumpkin bouncy. It was enough to wear the girls out. When we got home they ate lunch and passed out. It was fun to see Ry with her school mates and how much fun she has with them.

We had Justin's bday on the 25th. He had to work most the day (though he got to see Brett Michaels tour bus) so when he got home we only had time for dinner. We went with Sharon to Outback Steakhouse and ate some yummy food. And PBC was finally over her cold/sore throat and teething that she was actually happy and smiley. We opened presents, then it was time to get kids in bed for school the next day. We will do part 2 on a day when we are off and can enjoy it....hopefully soon!

What Justin got for his bday....Go Brazil Soccer!

This year we finally went to the Syracuse Pumpkin Walk on the 22nd. It was the biggest they'd ever had. We waited in line for over an hour but the kids really wanted to walk thru and it was worth it. There were sooo many pumpkins on display courtesy of the civilians of Syracuse. It was really cold and late (which was helpful because J was able to join us after work) but all in all it was really fun to get out and enjoy the festivities. Thanks to Sharon, Monica, Josh, and Jessica for joining us!

Ry's favorite. She loves Wendy's!!

I think everyone's favorite of the night (If you can't quite read it "Help stop youth obesity")

Rhett tries so hard to be a photogropher (move left, no to the right, now stand still, say stinky cheese)
