Last Tuesday the 10th, was our funnest day of the summer...Harmons Lagoon Day. We weren't able to afford yearly passes this year, so we bought our tickets through Harmons. They were only $15 a person, and we were able to pay them off over 6 pay periods. We even decided to buy one for Kenna because she had such a huge growth spurt she's already 36in. She can ride quite a few rides outside of Kiddie-Land and I didn't think she'd be happy sitting in her stroller all day. We knew she'd just love being able to ride with the other kiddos.
*HARMONS LAGOON DAY*
We told Rhett this would be his last year riding in Kiddie-Land because he's getting so tall. We told him he needed to pick 3 grown-up rides to try this year and if he didn't cry he'd earn $1. He picked white roller coaster, the Spider, and Jet Star.
We got to Lagoon right when they opened and headed to the white roller coaster. Him and J went on and I was crossing my fingers he'd love it...and he did! After that, it was already time for me to pump so J took the kiddos back to the Harmons pavilion while I went over to the First-Aid office. They set me up on a table with a curtain and an outlet...too bad I forgot my plug! Good thing I had a pkg of batteries in my bag. That hour of pumping had to be the longest ever, but it was nice to cool down in the a/c because it was the hottest day of the summer so far at 103!
After I was done pumping, I met up with them for lunch. Harmons is awesome with their Lagoon day by providing hot dogs for $.50 and a lot of free goodies...snow cones, brownies, popsicles, watermelon, chips, and drinks. After we ate, the kids waited in line for a balloon from the clowns while we waited for Mom and Amos to meet up with us.

Kenna's favorite thing of the day was watermelon. She must have ate like 5 or 6 pieces. But hey, at least it was a healthy option!

Mom and Amos finally joined up with us, so we decided to ride some more rides. I put Kenna on Dinosaur Drop and what a mistake! She hated it and was hesitant to ride much after that.

Luckily, she decided the Merry-Go-Round wasn't too scary.

Because we knew it would be super hot, we had the kids dressed in their swimsuits. They decided it was time to cool off in the fountain...good idea! They had so much fun. However, while I was dipping Kodee's legs in the water fountain, Kenna had wandered off. A lack of communication between me and J because we thought the other had her. J hurried and looked by the front gate and I walked through Kiddie-Land and around by the baby bumper cars. Finally, I saw her across the way by Terror Ride with a big family. I ran over to them and they said she was trying to go to the bumper cars (I had a feeling because she had just mentioned wanting to ride them.) The family was on their way to take her to Lost and Found...talk about scary!
I decided it was time to change and head back to the Harmons pavilion for the drawing. Since its "must be present to win," we set up a picnic in the grassy area so I could pump, the kiddos could run around, and J could socialize and listen for his name. After about 10 min, J walked back to us carrying a Pressure Cooker...he had won!!! I was stoked. While I finished pumping, everyone had met up with us (including Crystal and her kids and Dawn and her kids) and we ate dinner. The whole pumping thing is not so much fun while at an amusement park.
After dinner, we headed for more rides. While in Kiddie-Land, I was in charge of the girls while J took Rhett to the Spider. Since Kenna was freaked out from earlier, she wouldn't go on the rides unless I stood in line with her and helped her on. So I stood with her at the helicopters while I left Kodee in the stroller, not even 2 feet away. She started to cry and I was getting really uneasy so I went to pick her up. I gotta say, I was wishing for a few more arms.
After I helped Kenna on a few rides, the wind started to pick up and whip around...have I ever mentioned how much I hate wind??!! Kodee was sooo mad she started screaming really loud. I had to call J to have him help me because Kenna was still scared to go on rides...even though Ry was trying to help her. J finally met up with me and helped Kenna go on the Astro-blasters while I took Rhett and Ry on Tidal Wave. I told J to keep an eye on Kodee...
As we are on Tidal Wave, J is on the other side of that ride and I can see he's not right by Kodee. I was starting to panic. I tried calling him about 5 times-no answer. I tried to scream at him-he couldn't hear me. The ride started to go and I felt like I wanted to run off the ride and get over to my baby but I didn't want to alarm Rhett and Ry. As we are riding, I can see people walking by Kodee and looking into the stroller (I figured she was crying again and people were wondering who's baby that is). Finally, a lady went and stood by the stroller and no one else went by it. I think she was a saving grace because any one could have walked off with my baby Kodee while J was on the other side of the gate. When Tidal Wave was over, I booked it over to Kodee and grabbed her. I don't know why I felt so much agitation, but I was glad nothing happened.
After that scare, I was done for the night. We packed the kids in the car and headed home. We brought the kiddos in first and started unloading everything else and this is what we walked in on...

We hurried and got the kids cleaned up and into bed. Kenna wouldn't let go of her glow ring...it was so cute seeing her sleep with it wrapped around her. Rhett even earned his $1!

*AND BACK AGAIN*
Lagoon had bounceback for $11, so we headed back to Lagoon yesterday and rode more rides. We got there again right when they opened. It was amazing how few the crowds were this time. We were able to walk right on most rides. And thankfully, Kenna had forgotton her fears of last week, and she loved riding.

And my favorite pose I love doing each year. I just cant believe how big my kids keep getting year after year.

After some rides, I needed to pump. I did not want to sit in that office again, so we went back to a pavillion and they had outlets there. They ate lunch and played on the stage while I pumped...it was nice to be outside in the fresh air.
We decided to go on more rides and we were able to do so many. Even in the afternoon, there were still no lines at the rides.

Time for the Train

On to Kiddie-Land

Through-out the afternoon, we kept getting rain showers off and on. After we had played in Kiddie-Land, a monster storm came through. We saw it looming in the distance, so we headed to the baby bumper cars because it had an awning we could stand under and the kids could ride. Well, the storm lasted well over an hour and the kids rode those cars over and over and over....but the weather was not going to get the best of us.

The rain just wouldn't quit, so we made a quick dash to the arcade to meet Mom, Dad, and Amos while J went to get us pizza from Little Caesars. We decided to go back to the pavillion so I could pump and they could eat dinner. While we were eating, the rain finally stopped. I called it quits from pumping, and we all headed to ride more rides.

The ride operators on this ride always give a thumbs up when its ready to go. Well they were taking so long, and Wyatt gave the thumbs up and said, "Let's go. We're ready, We're ready!" So funny!

Ry really wanted to ride the "Rockstar" (Rock-O-Plane)

We ended the night by all going on Tidal Wave. Kenna liked it at first, but then got scared. At one point, I asked her if she was having fun. She replied, "Mom, Stop! Don't talk to me." She had this serious look of concentration.

We had a really long day, and with the rain it actually turned chilly. As we were walking out, Ry threw up from too many rides. We were glad to pack up in the truck and get warm. I was happy with another fun memory with my awesome little family.
