Flying High!!!

This morning, Oct. 23, I was able to do my first 5k. I did it with one of my besties, Liz and her son Connor, whom I am so grateful. She runs all the time and is pretty quick, but she kept it slow for me and kept me motivated. It was super cold and rainy the entire race but it was actually quite helpful. I was able to slow jog most the time (with my neighbors sister) and I was super proud of myself. I have always told my fam I would never be a runner but now that I finally did a 5k, I want to train harder to get better and faster. I told Aaron now that I started, I need to do Ragnar next year but we'll see if it actually happens. My goal for this race was to complete in an hour. I was able to complete in 46:52. So goal....accomplished!!

Liz, me, and Connor-Kennas future hubby-we have it all set up ;)

That night I was able to go to Witches Night Out cause I couldn't go the night before with Mom, Dawn, and Aimee because J had to work late. I was able to have some friends, Kathleen and Melissa, and Justin's mom Sharon go with me. We had lots of fun. We were able to get down there pretty early and park across the street for free (Thank you mom for babysitting) Though it was raining, it stopped about an hour after we got there. We ate soup and sandwiches for dinner and had yummy fudge for dessert. We were also able to shop some (all the girls bought scarves) and get tons of photos. I love witches night out and I was super glad I had some fun people to go with.

Shopping....

"Witchy-poo"

You call me a "witch" like its a bad thing.

We wanted to show off our new scarves we purchased that night!

UEA Vacay

(I forgot to publish this post, its been in the editing folder for awhile. Sorry I never noticed it...enjoy)

DAY1
Today's the day we headed down to St. George to celebrate PBC, Justin, and Rhett's bdays with the Merrill fam. 10 min into the drive the girls fell fast asleep. We hit every traffic jam and road construction area. Then Rhett got carsick and threw up. When we finally made it, we were ecstactic to be there. We made grilled cheese for dinner and then challenged Deloy and Sharon to a game of golf. I won the first 9 holes, but Deloy as usual won the game.

DAY 2
Today was a fun day. We went to Larson's old fashioned diner which has the most amazing onion rings. Then we headed to Stahlei Farms to walk thru the corn maze and other fun farm activities. The kids loved it alot, though it was weird to do these fun Oct. activites in 90 degree weather. We were sooo hot! After the farm, we headed back to the house and ate shredded bbq chicken sandwiches. So yummy! Then we headed to Harmons to order Kennas 1st bday cake.

At Stahlei Farms...we had pic ops, rubber ducky races, slides into a corn kernel pit, Ry was a natural horse whisperer, fed the horses, train rides, and Rhett pulled the kids on makeshift horse rides.

On our way to the corn maze....Rhett loved being our leader with his map and we completed 2 of 4 mazes (that was all the patience the kids had)

Climbing the haystack...try to find the needle!

At the pumpkin patch!

Ry was sooo done for the day, it turned her into a monster!!!

DAY 3
Today we just hung around the house, did a few errands, and visited some friends. Then we had a bbq...hamburgers, grilled pineapple, chips, pot. salad, jello, and birthday cake for dessert. Kenna didn't really eat much cake, but she enjoyed making a mess. It was fun to have the whole family there, including Great Grma and Grpa Merrill.

Rhetts turn to open his presents...thanks Grandma and Grandpa and Derrick and Andrea for the legos.

PBC's cute Tinkerbell cakes courtesy of Harmons...they did such a good job!

Eating her cake...she started so clean but by the time we was done she looked like Shrek and Fiona's 4th baby. Rhett kept calling her "shrek baby"! She had frosting EVERYWHERE! In the eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. She's my only baby who cried while eating cake. Poor girl!

Time to clean up...she had so much frosting on her the water turned green!!!

All cleaned up to open her presents. Thanks Derrick and Andrea for the cute shirts.

DAY 4
Today we went to church then took the kids to feed the ducks. The bread went quick (Kenna ate most of hers) but the ducks totally loved it. Then we headed back to the house and had lunch...floutas, burritos, and jello. Then we had to start back for Salt Lake City. The weather was rainy, and apparently people dont know how to drive in it. It took us a while to get back home...that and everyone else wanted to get home so the roads were packed. All in all it was a great mini-vacay!
