What a fun day we had! Started by my hubby letting me sleep in till noon...cause my insomnia kept me up till 6am! But it felt nice to get more than 3 hrs of sleep. After he left for work, the kids and I started right away by cleaning the rooms so we could set up.....yep HALLOWEEN! The kids just love the spooky decor and the lights. They couldn't wait for "the sun to go to sleep" so they could turn them on. We finished off our decorating by burning some Spiced Orange Harvest in my Scentsy and then it felt like fall. Deloy and Sharon came over just in time for us to leave for Rhett's last soccer game. He was so excited to be there and have everyone come to support him. Deloy even flew in from Guatamala yesterday (because the temple wasn't ready for their flooring) but its so cute how Rhett said that Grandpa loves him so much he flew in for his game!! So as we settled in at the game Mom, Dad, Aimee, and Wyatt came too. I really got into the game this time. Dad even said they didn't need a coach cause I was so loud, Ooops! He was just giving me a hard time cause I was yelling, well more like I was yelling in a good way for Rhett and everytime I did he tried extra hard to get the ball. He had some really great blocks and great passes. He even kicked one down half the field, but then he tried to kick and totally missed the ball and fell. But all in all, he did so wonderful. I am such a proud Mama. And his team won 2-0! He had a great team, great parents of the kids, and most importantly 2 great coaches who just really laid into Rhett the rules and aspects of the game and who had faith in each of the kids. He just needs some more focus and a little bit of practice and he will rock. The coaches rewarded the team with medals and a free ice cream cone at Arctic Circle. He is so proud of himself...he fell asleep in bed wearing his medal :)
After the game, all of us went over to Iceberg (thanks to Kyle sending us a coupon via text message) Their portions were huge. And it was pretty good. After dinner Mom, Dad, Aimee, and Wyatt went home and the rest of us came to our house. Monica came over for a few and visited while we watched videos and pics of Guatamala Deloy had taken. Its a really pretty place and the outside of the temple is just beautiful. It's set on a hill overlooking the city of Quetztalentango (I totally spelt it wrong) and right next to a dormant volcano. Then Rhett and I looked at Mandee and Craig's blog cause he wanted to look at the videos of Jaycee again. And I know I keep saying it, but man she looks so much like Ry. I can't believe it.
Me and the kids had such a great day. And they really liked the part of having "St. George" Grandma and Grandpa having a sleep over. I have such cute kids and I am getting sadder everyday I see them grow up faster than I would like. I mean Rhetts in 1st grade, Ry started preschool, and Kennas one in 3 weeks. Gotta savor the time, savor the time....
Speaking of growing up, I found this video of Ry from 2 yrs ago I wanted to share. I know its sideways but I couldn't get it rotated so try to enjoy how cute she is.
This is Rhett from 1 1/2 yrs ago. Man time sure flies. Again sorry its sideways. I will learn how to take videos the right way :)
Bahahahaha!!! I litterally watched the videos with my head sideways! Seriously though, they were so cute! I LOVE your blog!
