Another Fun Week

Had a great week last week, though it was packed and busy. Thursday was yet another day of work for both of us. We had time to enjoy a quick dinner before we split ways.
On Friday, I got Rhett off to school at 830, then immediately packed the girls in the car to go off on our full day of errands. Started at Sallys beauty supply where I got some nail art for me and hair smocks for the boys when I cut their hair. Then off to Seagull Book where I was able to get some very cute Halloween books and favors for the kids for the Halloween party next month (I will be sending those out to Jaycee, Bray, and Haylie soon...I didn't get any for the little babies-sorry Kenna and Kamryn) They also had cute pumpkin candles from Salt City for a very great price. Off to Tai-Pan to look around at their cute Halloween stuff, but its very expensive. I will try again when they have all their stuff put up. I only ended up getting some metal ants for Ry. She learned about "A" last week so she just had to have them. Then to Target, of course. Wouldn't be a shopping trip unless I went there. We browsed their Halloween aisles but they were in the process of unpacking it as well. We got some treats and Febreeze and were done. Then I had to hurry home and pick Rhett up from the bus then we were off to Macys' for groceries. Got some potatoes, hamb, pizza, and butter. Then we were finally going home to get ready for Rhett's soccer game. He did ok, but kept at it. It was a hotter day so he said he got more tired easier but still enjoyed playing. They ended up winning 6-0 (The other team's coach was so frustrated-it was kinda funny to watch cause its supposed to be fun) And Mom and Dad came over. We enjoyed the weather so much, we stayed an extra hour to watch the next game while Rhett and Ry played at the park. Then we went to dinner at Fiesta Guadalahara. My food was great, Rhett said they were the best chicken strips, J's was ok, but the conversation was the best! We stayed a long time, but we had fun. And Dad taught Rhett about military time which he loved (he still has the napkin Dad was writing on)
Saturday was another day of cleaning. Lots and lots of cleaning and laundry. But after the day before, it was nice to have a day home. That night when J got home from work, we headed over to our friends and neighbors Justin, Liz, and Connor. We enjoyed hamburgers (I had mine lettuce-wrapped) chips and Harmons salsa...mmmmm, she made the best potato salad, and cake with rocky road ice cream. We were there late talking so much, that all the kids fell asleep on the couch and floor.
Sunday we got up for church and enjoyed our time there. J got a new calling as Ward Missionary which he was excited to finally have a calling again. After church we went over Julie Jensen-Talbot to look at tupperware then up to Aaron's for the bday party. We had hamburgers and hot dogs (again I had mine lettuce-wrapped, too bad I couldn't get any others to try it) chips and salsa, salad, and snicker jello. We all stayed outside on the deck and just ate and talked till it got dark. It was fun enjoying the outside and the view. We gave presents and had cake and yummy pumpkin cheesecake, courtesy of Dawn. Then it was time to come home.
Yesterday, I decided I couldn't deal with my mop of hair (which is sad cause I was trying to grow it out for Locks of Love again) so I went to my bestie's house and she gave me a cut. It's short, but I like it. And its nice not to have all that sweaty hair on my neck. I was even able to just hang out with her for a couple hours to catch up and enjoy eachothers time. After the hair cut, I had to head home to mow the lawn, shower, help with homework, and off to work I went.
All in all, a good week/weekend. Busy and more busy but its been fun being with others. If only me and J could get some time alone. I think we got a total of 38 min. last week. Guess we'll work on that this week. :)
