EIGHT: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Hospitals. Reflecting back on when I delivered my kids, namely 7 yrs ago for Rhett, I am thankful we live where hospitals are so prominant, clean, sanitary, and safe. When Rhett was born he had to be in the NICU for a week, and I am glad he was in the hospital getting strong enough to come home. As well as everytime I needed to be in the hospital, we are lucky to have it accessible to us.
NINE: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Washing machines. Having traveled to places where we saw people having to fetch water for their basin, scrub their clothes with grates, rinse them out, and hang to dry...I feel so lucky to have that right in my home. I can do a load so quickly and it does all the work for me. I love how much time it saves me and how fast I can get all our laundry done.
TEN: I'M THANKFUL FOR: Freedom. I love as of now we are able to preach, learn, dress, act (sometimes not such a good thing for others) go to church, drive a car, go to school, stay home, work a job, go shopping, own and fire a gun, play in the yard, go to a movie, vote, be married to the one we choose, loving someone of our choice, have a family, hang out with friends, talk on the the phone, be on the internet....the list could go on and on. These are freedoms a lot of people don't have the privelage of having. I consider myself lucky.
Aren't we grateful for our cute friend Mikaela, who takes care of those sweet babies in the NICU? I'm also grateful for another wonderful friend...YOU!!!
