Happy Birthday Rhett

Yes, another year down...and Rhett turned 9! We'd never done a birthday party for him before and since it's his last single digit birthday, we decided to let him have a party and invite some friends. We asked what kind of party he wanted to do and of course he chose, Lego's! We got some really cute invitations and thank you cards that were clearanced from Lego.com.
We were going to do a party here at the house, but last week he went to his friend from school's birthday party at the Syracuse Fun Center. He asked if he could change his party to be there. He even offered to pay with his money in the bank. Luckily, the Fun Center has a special on Thursdays (Half Pass Day-2 hours of unlimited golfing, bowling, bounce houses, and laser tag for $6), so it worked out perfect because his birthday was on Thursday.
Rhett was so excited when he got his shipment from the Lego store. He wrote out all his invitations and mailed and delivered them to his friends...about 14 in all.
Today he woke up so excited because the Birthday Fairy remembered to put money in his shoe and he got 9 dimes and 1 for good luck. Then he was off to school. J was able to get the day off so we used the day to get everything ready for his party. When Rhett got home, he wrote out his thank you cards and helped me fill up the treat bags.
*We got the Invites, Thank You Cards, Builder Packs, Lego Sticker, and "Lego City" Building Sets from Lego.com. The Orange Party Bags we got at Fundaze in Clearfield. The Candy Lego Blocks we got at Candy Shoppe...located behind Newgate Mall in Ogden*

We got to the Fun Center about 30 min. early to set up the Party Room with his Square "Lego" color plates, cups, napkins, and tablecloths. The Fun Center had the other decor up already.
*We got the Yellow and Red Plates, Blue Napkins, and Black Tablecloths at Dollar Tree. We got the Green Cups and Orange Straws at Fundaze in Clearfield*

Finally, Rhett's guests had arrived. We got them all situated with their wrist bands and set them free. They loved being able to play everywhere and they went from one thing to another. It put such a smile on my face to see Rhett having such a fun party with his friends. As well as having our family and friends come play too! Thankfully Mom took great care of Kodes and she loved every minute with Grandma!

*Black Light Golfing*

*Bowling*
*Laser Tag* (It was by far everyone's favorite)

Then it was time for pizza and drinks...

...and singing Happy Birthday and opening presents.

Sadly, the time came very quickly and it was time to have everyone picked up. I think it was a great success and everyone had the FUNNEST time, especially Rhett. I've never heard him say Thank You so many times.
We then headed home to sing Happy Birthday and eat cupcakes...

...and give him our presents from us. "Lego Monster Fighters" building set from the girls and a "Lego Star Wars" watch from me and J.

It was a long day but a happy one. It was so much fun to make Rhett so happy and see him have such a great time with his friends. Thanks again everyone for the support and for coming!
