I was up most the night preparing "gift sets" in pretty tags and cellophane. I couldn't believe how much inventory I actually had once I started to sort through it. I think I made it to bed about 6am, and then I woke up at 710am to get to her house at 8am so I could set up. I was super tired but it was for a good cause!!!!
I was situated downstairs...
along with Paulette from Scentsy and Post Make-up
Stacy from Paparazzi
and Christy with her handmade bows and headbands.
We also had It Work Body Wraps, Pampered Chef, Temporary Tattoos, and Discovery Toys upstairs. It started out kind of slow, but it was fun getting to know the ladies better who were selling with me downstairs. And we had the Christmas music going so it was relaxing.
After a few hours, Santa came by. Those of us who were there, decided to tell Santa what we wanted for Christmas.
I called Justin and had him bring the kiddos, especially so Kodes could see Santa for the first time. Surprisingly, she didn't cry at all.
I even had a friend and her hubby and her daughter Nellie come all the way from West Valley City to come to our boutique and buy some Tupperware.
We had a slow streak, and we heard fire engine sirens. I decided to take a break, and head home to see Santa riding the fire truck. The kiddos thought it was so exciting...as did our neighbors.
I went back over to the boutique for our next little rush. I thought the day would probably drag on because we doing the boutique from 9am-5pm, and because I had literally no sleep. But it actually went very fast and I sold quite a lot.
After I cleaned up and got home, it was time to head over to our friends, Jeff and Noelia, for dinner and games. I couldn't think how I'd make it even longer, but sure enough as soon as we got to talking and playing games, we were having so much fun. And the girls loved playing with all their fun Barbie toys and houses. As we were heading to leave, it started snowing. I was pretty excited because I really love the snow. And Jeff and Noelia gave the girls an older Barbie house her girls don't play with. My girls were in heaven.
When we got home, we hurried to get the kids in bed because we are speaking in church tomorrow and we needed to finish our talks. While we were preparing, little Miss Kodes decided she was ready to sit...all by herself. I am just amazed with my sweet pea.
It was sure a whirlwind of a day...and a long one at that. I was glad I did well at the boutique that I could donate my commission to the cause. It went right along with our talks for tomorrow...providing service for others, especially during the Christmas Holiday. I didn't think I'd be able to come up with enough for a talk, but I actually have loved being able to prepare a talk and strengthen my testimony.
