SLC Lights

Today was a fun day for me and the kiddos. Sadly, J had to work all day and night because that's how it goes during the holidays. Rhett and Ry came home from their last day of school for this year. Ry had a "Polar Express" party where she was able to wear PJ's to school, have a party, and watch Polar Express. Rhett, had a party and made reindeer cupcakes and a gingerbread house from graham crackers.

Later that night, my Mom came to pick us up for our traditional SLC Lights/Concert on Temple Square where my Dad performs. It took us a bit to get to the parking garage at City Creek, and to find our way to the right set of elevators, but it's all in the memories. We walked through City Creek to get the kiddos a snack, walked by the Zions Candy Windows Display, and headed to Temple Square.

After a few pics, it was time to listen to my Dad's concert. We went upstairs to the the balcony, and settled in.
I wasn't sure if the kiddos would be quiet through the whole program, but with snacks, Grandma's candy, and Pokemon cards, they were quite well behaved.

After the concert, we met up with Dad and took a few more pics outside....
Awww the lovebirds!!!
We decided to walk back to City Creek and get Subway for dinner. It was nice the crowds thinned out and we could walk without bumping into so many people.

It was such a fun night, and really one my favorite traditions we have been able to keep up with every year. Now, if only J could join us one time...
