Kiss Me, I'm Irish!

St. Patrick's Day was so much fun this year. We usually don't do anything, but the night before Rhett asked if he could make some traps to catch a leprechaun. Of course, I was more than happy to let him.

He was so excited to show them off (sorry we cut off the top of his head.) He even set his traps with his real gold dollars to tempt those little guys. When they woke up, he hadn't caught any leprechauns in his traps. The leprechaun didn't even steal his money and left the kiddos gold chocolate coins, though he did make a mess of our napkins. He must have checked his traps at least 10 times that day, but to no avail, he only caught a string from the leprechaun's hat (on his sticky hat trap) and a feather from the leprechaun's coat. He is already planning how to make next year's traps better.

I made a St. Patrick's Day breakfast...green eggs, green pancakes, and green milk with green straws. I don't mind doing fun things for my kiddos. Especially when Rhett said they were the best pancakes he's ever had! Totally makes it worth it.

After breakfast, we got ready for the afternoon. Me and the girls were going with my Mom to my cousin's bridal shower, and Rhett was going to have some alone time with Grandpa. When we got to my Mom's, they said they had 2 extra tickets to the Jazz game that night. So they arranged for Dawn to watch the girls after the shower for 30min. until J could pick them up on his way home from work.
I already had a St. Patrick's Day dinner planned for the kids...green mac-and-cheese, green jello with green cool whip, green peas, and green kool-aid. So while me and Rhett went to the Jazz game with my Mom and Dad (they did win in overtime!)...

...J took the girls home to enjoy dinner!
